- Proven Experience: 2+ years of industrial painting or specialized coating experience.
- The "Eye": Acute attention to detail with the ability to identify subtle color variations and surface imperfections.
- Technical Literacy: Ability to read work orders, follow complex instructions, and a preference for those with SAP experience.
- Safety First: Comfortable working in a respirator/PPE-required environment and strictly adhering to safety guidelines near chemicals.
- Problem Solver: A proactive mindset that enjoys resolving technical issues and contributing to "Lean" continuous improvement activities.

Responsibilities
- Read work orders and similar documentation to stage products for painting.
- Prepare products for painting, including cleaning and masking the products.
- Prepare paint (2-part epoxy) for use in the booth and in the hand spray guns.
- Apply paint to various-sized parts, miscellaneous components, and valves.
- Operate sandblaster machines, paint booths, and hand-held paint spray guns.
- Operate fusion bond epoxy and oven when required (not as common).
- Observe paint results for quality.
- Make decisions regarding the acceptability of results.
- Troubleshoot when product appearance is less than desired.
- Operate and clean paint equipment, and check/adjust paint viscosity.
- Other duties include cleaning and maintaining the paint line, properly disposing of hazardous waste, and servicing /checking chemical levels in appropriate locations.
- Responsible for maintaining quality expectations and hitting daily production goals.
- Ability to use SAP is preferred.
- Assist with lean activities and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain a clean and safe workplace.
- Understand and adhere to safety guidelines while working near chemicals and paint lines. Always wear required personal protective equipment while performing work. It will require wearing a mask/respirator.
