Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

Machine Setup & Operation: Perform full setups on CNC mills and/or lathes. This includes mounting, installing, and aligning tools, attachments, and fixtures.

Precision Measurement: Measure finished workpiece dimensions using precision instruments such as micrometers, calipers, templates, and height gauges to ensure 100% conformance.

• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and engineering plans (GD&T knowledge is often required).
• Process Monitoring: Monitor machine performance to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjust machine controls or tool offsets as needed.
• Maintenance: Perform routine preventive maintenance, such as checking fluid levels (coolant/oil) and cleaning chips/debris from machines.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate production logs and quality records to ensure traceability, which is critical for ITAR and aerospace standards.

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

standing for 8 hours at one time
