You won’t just be "checking boxes" you’ll be the gatekeeper of material integrity and the final word on quality. The Daily Grind (Literally & Figuratively):  

• Precision Prep: Sectioning, mounting, and grinding samples to perfection.
• Microscopic Mastery: Analyzing grain structures and documenting the "hidden life" of materials.
• Compliance Expert: Ensuring every piece of data meets rigorous industry standards.

Responsibilities

Hands-on Metallographic Experience

• Experience using sectioning and cutting equipment (band saw and wet saw).
• Experience using planar grinding and polishing equipment (speed adjustable grinder/polisher).
• Experience in Etching activities by applying chemical reagents to reveal microstructural features.

2. Analysis and Reporting Skills

• Experience on microscopic analysis to reveal grain structure, inclusions, and other microstructural features.
• Experience using metallographic software to translate microscopic pictures into readings that meet customer-specific requirements, including: Overall penetration, Root penetration, Leg length, Gap, Throat, Cracks, Undercut, and Porosity.

3. General Professional and Work Requirements

• Communication: Ability to interact and communicate with technical teams about the metallographic testing results.
• Computer Skills: Management of computer skills, specifically Excel and Outlook.
• Teamwork: Good attitude and willingness to work in a team environment with multidisciplinary team members.
• Availability: Flexibility to work overtime and weekends if required.
