What You’ll Be Doing:
- Set up and operate multi-axis CNC lathes, manual mills/lathes, and grinding machines
- Use blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining sequences and part specifications
- Operate CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers with precision
- Perform accurate measurements using calipers, micrometers, and indicators
- Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust processes or tools as needed
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines
- Maintain a safe and organized work environment
- Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
- 3–5 years of machining experience in a production or job shop environment
- Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and schematics
- Skilled in turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and grinding
- Familiarity with Fanuc controls and/or Star Swiss lathes is a plus
- Experience working in a low-volume/high-mix environment preferred
- Basic computer skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
- Competitive hourly pay ($25–$29/hr DOE)

Responsibilities
- Program, set up, and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, including:
- Multi-axis lathes (Fanuc and Star Swiss preferred)
- Manual mills and lathes
- CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers
- Centerless and point grinding machines
- Multi-axis lathes (Fanuc and Star Swiss preferred)
- Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements, sequences, and tolerances.
- Select tools and machining strategies to produce high-quality, precision parts in a low-volume/high-mix environment.
- Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other precision instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
- Troubleshoot machining issues, including tool wear, setup problems, and dimensional inconsistencies, and take corrective action as needed.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure smooth operation and longevity.
- Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Document production activities, including measurements, tool changes, and part completion.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
