Join a Leading Manufacturer as a Precision Machinist Are you an experienced Machinist with CNC and manual machining skills? A well-established manufacturing facility in Duluth, GA is looking for a skilled professional to join their team on a full-time, 2nd Shift. This is a Permanent position with excellent pay, hands-on work, and a clean, team-oriented environment.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Set up and operate multi-axis CNC lathes, manual mills/lathes, and grinding machines
  
  
• Use blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining sequences and part specifications
  
  
• Operate CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers with precision
  
  
• Perform accurate measurements using calipers, micrometers, and indicators
  
  
• Troubleshoot machining issues and adjust processes or tools as needed
  
  
• Conduct routine preventive maintenance on machines
  
  
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment
  
  
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals
  
  

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5 years of machining experience in a production or job shop environment
  
  
• Ability to read and interpret complex blueprints and schematics
  
  
• Skilled in turning, milling, drilling, tapping, and grinding
  
  
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls and/or Star Swiss lathes is a plus
  
  
• Experience working in a low-volume/high-mix environment preferred
  
  
• Basic computer skills and attention to detail
  
  
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods

Responsibilities

• Program, set up, and operate CNC and manual machining equipment, including:
  
  
  • Multi-axis lathes (Fanuc and Star Swiss preferred)
    
    
  • Manual mills and lathes
    
    
  • CNC vertical and horizontal machining centers
    
    
  • Centerless and point grinding machines
    
    
• Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine machining requirements, sequences, and tolerances.
  
  
• Select tools and machining strategies to produce high-quality, precision parts in a low-volume/high-mix environment.
  
  
• Inspect machined parts using calipers, micrometers, indicators, and other precision instruments to ensure dimensional accuracy.
  
  
• Troubleshoot machining issues, including tool wear, setup problems, and dimensional inconsistencies, and take corrective action as needed.
  
  
• Perform routine preventive maintenance on equipment to ensure smooth operation and longevity.
  
  
• Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean, organized work area.
  
  
• Document production activities, including measurements, tool changes, and part completion.
  
  
• Collaborate with team members and supervisors to meet production goals and deadlines.
