Responsibilities
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team. The Material Handler is responsible for the efficient and accurate loading, unloading, handling, movement, and storage of materials, specifically automotive parts and components, throughout the facility. This role supports production, shipping, and receiving operations to ensure a smooth and safe workflow in an automotive parts environment.
- Load and unload auto parts and materials from trucks, trailers, or containers using pallet jacks, or by hand.
- Verify incoming and outgoing shipments of automotive components to ensure accuracy and report discrepancies.
- Receive, inspect, and document auto parts and route materials to appropriate storage or production areas.
- Deliver automotive parts to production lines or workstations as needed.
- Prepare, package, and stage finished automotive products for shipment.
- Maintain accurate inventory records for auto parts using a warehouse management system (WMS).
- Conduct regular inventory counts and assist with cycle counting processes.
- Ensure proper labeling, stacking, and storage of automotive materials and products.
- Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Collaborate with team members and other departments to meet operational goals.
- Ability to lift up to [50 lbs] and stand or walk for extended periods.
- Basic computer and math skills.
