Responsibilities:
- Part Finishing: Perform manual blending, grinding, sanding, and polishing on precision metal components to remove burrs, excess metal, and surface defects.
- Tool Operation: Safely and efficiently use a variety of deburring tools, hand tools, and equipment, including grinders, files, sanders, and specialized deburring machines.
- Quality Inspection: Visually inspect finished parts and use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify that they meet engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and work orders to understand part requirements and finishing specifications.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with senior operators and engineers to identify opportunities for improving deburring processes and reducing cycle times.
- Safety and Maintenance: Maintain a clean and safe work area. Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of deburring equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of work performed, including production data and quality control checks.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Proven experience in a manufacturing or metal fabrication environment, with specific experience in deburring, grinding, or polishing preferred.

- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Proficiency with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
