Your Role: You will be the core technical expert responsible for the repair, maintenance, and optimization of all facility and production equipment. If you take pride in independent problem-solving and ensuring operational excellence, this is your chance to shine.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Perform corrective, preventative, and predictive maintenance on complex mechanical systems, including high-speed processing, packaging machinery, motors, conveyors, and pneumatic tools.
- Utilize technical diagrams, precision instruments, and your expert knowledge to diagnose and execute repairs in compliance with manufacturer specs.
- Champion a culture of safety by strictly adhering to all CAL/OSHA, GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), and company safety protocols (e.g., LOTO, Machine Guarding).
- Use the CMMS system to accurately document work orders, equipment status, and maintenance progress.
- Proactively analyze machine performance data and suggest improvements to maximize efficiency and minimize costly downtime.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years as a mechanic/technician in a manufacturing environment, with at least 3 years focused on high-speed processing and packaging equipment.
- Skills: Experience wirth emergency repairs and problem solving abilities, excellent manual dexterity, and the capacity to read and interpret complex manuals.
- Physical: Ability to lift 50 lbs unassisted and constantly perform required tasks (standing, walking, climbing, crawling) during an 8-hour shift.
- Tools: Must provide your own personal set of hand tools.

Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Independently perform maintenance on diverse mechanical equipment, including engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and high-speed production machinery.
- Technical Execution: Utilize precision measuring and testing instruments, hand tools, and power tools to diagnose and repair equipment, adhering strictly to technical diagrams, manuals, and manufacturer specifications.
- Safety & Compliance: Champion a culture of safety by inspecting equipment, adhering to all regulatory (e.g., CAL/OSHA) and internal safety protocols (e.g., Lock Out Tag Out, Machine Guarding), and promoting Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- System Documentation: Use the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to accurately monitor work orders, document equipment status, and track maintenance progress using written reports and digital media (photo/video).
- Operational Improvement: Analyze machinery data, perform technical tests on new and existing equipment for safety/efficiency, and proactively suggest actions to enhance machine performance and reduce operational interruptions.
- Mentorship/Support: Handle complex technical issues independently, escalating only the most specialized problems to the maintenance team, and occasionally provide guidance to peers on assigned tasks.
