Maintenance Mechanic opening at a manufacturing company in Bristol, CT. The ideal candidate will be someone who has experience working as a maintenance mechanic in a manufacturing setting. Must have experience operating various machines (Lathes, Bridgeports, Grinders, Saws, Welders, etc.). Must be able to read and interpret blueprints. 

salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
shift: First
work hours: 7 AM - 4 PM
education: No Degree Required

Responsibilities

1) Trouble shoot machinery problems
2) Use equipment to make mechanical repairs
 Lathe
 Bridgeport
 Surface Grinder
 Saws
 Welders (Mig, Tig, and torches)
3) Use equipment to make electrical repairs
 Experience with AC and DC drives
 Replace damaged cords
 Replace damaged coils in the furnaces
 Replace damaged switches, outlets, and other related items
4) Communicating with vendors
 Find replacement parts
 Purchase new items
 Find best deals
 Complete purchase orders.
5) Aid in the design and building/modifying new and existing equipment.
 Work with management and subcontractors to:
6) Perform an active role on the safety committee
 Safety audits
 Safety meetings
 Repairs as needed
