The Day-to-Day: What You’ll Be Doing In this role, you aren't just putting parts together; you are ensuring the "brain" of our equipment is built to last.
- Advanced Assembly: Build inverters from scratch, including soldering capacitors, modifying boards, and assembling hardware.
- Testing & Calibration: Perform "hi-pot" testing and set frequencies to meet strict product specifications.
- Troubleshooting: Identify units that fail tolerance levels and perform necessary repairs.
- Component Protection: Mix and pour epoxy to "pot" electronic assemblies for durability.
- Documentation: Use MS Excel to accurately report lot codes, frequency settings, and assembly data.
- Technical Aptitude: You are familiar with electronic parts and assembly procedures.
- Tool Proficiency: Experience with soldering irons, torque wrenches, and screwdrivers is essential.
- Testing Curiosity: Familiarity with oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and hi-pot testers is a major plus (but we will train the right person).
- The "Maker" Mindset: High manual dexterity, a quick learner, and the ability to stay focused under deadline pressure.
- Basic Math Skills: Comfortable calculating epoxy mixing ratios and timing sequences.
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience with electronic assemblies is a plus, but we value talent and a willingness to learn over years of experience.
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision once trained.
- Reliable, flexible, and committed to maintaining a clean, safe shop environment.
