Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive First Article Inspections (FAI) and setup inspections to ensure production runs meet all specifications.
- Utilize a wide array of mechanical gauging, including micrometers, calipers, and optical comparators.
- Regularly draw and clean inspection samples directly from CNC machines in an active production environment.
- Interpret complex mechanical drawings and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to verify part compliance.
- Maintain meticulous records of all inspections, ensuring high levels of accuracy and traceability in all quality documentation.
- Track and manage the calibration of internal and external gauges using GageTrak software.
- Work closely with Machinists, Engineering, and Production leads to troubleshoot quality issues and optimize workflows.
