Are you a hands-on problem solver with an eye for detail? We are looking for a Machine Operator & Mechanical Assembler to join our client's fabrication team. This is a high-precision role where you will work with advanced thermal equipment and build industrial components from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Fabrication & Surface Prep: Operate plasma torches and industrial blasters to treat and coat metal surfaces.
  
  
• Mechanical Assembly: Build and integrate mechanical sub-systems using hand and power tools.
  
  
• Precision Measurement: Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and Vernier scales to verify parts against technical blueprints.
  
  
• Material Handling: Safely maneuver heavy industrial components using overhead cranes and hoists.
  
  
• Maintenance & Troubleshooting: Perform routine machine maintenance and identify basic mechanical issues to ensure continuous production.
  
  
• Clean, inspect, and wrap finished product for shipment, ensuring they meet quality and customer requirements.
  
  
• Read and interpret Work Orders, Production Notes, and customer instructions to guide the coating process.
  
  
• Complete all required QA forms and adhere to departmental Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  
  
• Safely and proficiently operate overhead cranes and hoists to move materials and rolls.
  
  

The essential functions of this role include:

working in a smoke free environment

wearing steel toe shoes

working in a non-temperature controlled environment

manual lifting up to 50lbs

standing for 8 hours at one time

working up to 10 hrs of overtime per week
