Job Summary
Responsible for the secure, accurate, and timely pickup and delivery of sensitive environmental samples, testing supplies, and associated documentation between the laboratory, client locations, and field sites. This role requires strict adherence to chain-of-custody (COC) procedures and professional representation of the company.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Execute daily scheduled routes for on-time sample collection and delivery.
- Maintain the integrity of environmental samples by ensuring proper temperature control and packaging protocols.
- Strictly comply with Chain-of-Custody (COC) procedures, ensuring accurate documentation and transfer.
- Optimize routes, manage logistics, and prioritize time-sensitive deliveries.
- Safely operate and maintain a company-provided vehicle, performing required pre- and post-trip inspections.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with dispatchers, lab staff, and clients.
- Valid driver's license and a clean driving record are mandatory.
- Prior experience (1+ year) in courier or logistics, preferably with sensitive materials (e.g., medical, environmental).
- Experience operating a non-CDL box truck or similar commercial fleet vehicle is a plus.
- Organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical ability to lift, load, and unload packages and containers.
- High level of detail orientation regarding documentation and compliance.
