Responsibilities
- Follows proper Food Safety Standards
- Complies with sanitation and cleanliness requirements of the total facility.
- Follows strict sanitation specifications and procedures in a safe manner.
- Maintains working areas and tools organized and clean.
- Performs daily, weekly and other tasks assigned as necessary to keep the facility compliant with FDA, USDA, and other regulatory agencies requirements.
- Complies with Safety Data Sheet requirements in the handling of chemicals and proper use of PPE.
- Follows proper handling procedures for chemicals and any other hazardous substances.
- Responsible for the sanitation and cleanliness of tools, storage racks, loggers, buckets, utensils and equipment in all departments.
- Handles and disposes waste according to our safety, food safety and operational standards.
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment for production use and ensures equipment is staged ready for use.
- Properly cleans and organizes equipment and/or utensils to prevent cross-contamination.
- Must operate light industrial lifting trucks – when properly trained and certified.
- Responsible for following the Master Sanitation Schedule requirements.
- Notifies management of any issues or problems with chemical handling, PPE issues and issues with work duties.
- Follow all safety procedures and participate in safety training.
- Reports any injury or accident immediately to supervisory and/or any unsafe condition.
