Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Engineering Collaboration: Support the engineering department by building, testing, and modifying prototype circuit boards.
- Advanced Troubleshooting: Use multimeters and oscilloscopes to probe specific points on boards for signal integrity and power diagnostics.
- Precision Soldering: Perform high-level soldering, including surface mount (SMT), through-hole, and wire-to-connector assemblies.
- Microassembly: Utilize microscopes to work with ultra-small components, specifically 0402 size resistors and capacitors.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret complex electronic schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to ensure exact assembly.
- Diagnosis & Repair: Identify root causes of board failures and execute precise modifications or repairs.
- Experience: 3+ years of experience in electronic assembly or technician roles, preferably within a medical device or aerospace environment.
- Technical Mastery: Proven ability to solder under a microscope and handle miniature components (0402).
- Equipment Proficiency: Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools (Oscilloscopes, DMMs).
- Attention to Detail: Ability to follow intricate engineering instructions and document changes accurately.
- Certifications: IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certifications are a major plus but not required.
