Randstad is currently seeking a detail-oriented Electronic Assembler for a premier client located in East Setauket, NY. Our client is a leader in high-reliability power conversion and control systems, and they are looking for a skilled professional to join their production team in a climate-controlled, state-of-the-art facility. Qualifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2–3 years of experience in electronic assembly or a related manufacturing environment.
  
  
• Certifications: IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certification is highly preferred but not required.
  
  
• Technical Skills: Ability to identify electronic components (resistors, capacitors, diodes, etc.) and read color codes.
  
  
• Precision: Excellent manual dexterity and the ability to work with small parts under a microscope or magnifying lens.
  
  
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical & Electrical Assembly: Perform point-to-point wiring, component installation, and chassis assembly.
  
  
• Soldering: Execute high-quality through-hole and surface mount (SMT) soldering on printed circuit boards (PCBs).
  
  
• Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret complex blueprints, assembly drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM).
  
  
• Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of completed work to ensure compliance with IPC-A-610 standards.
  
  
• Tool Operation: Utilize various hand tools, soldering irons, torque drivers, and crimping tools.
  
  
• Testing Support: Assist in basic continuity testing and troubleshooting of assemblies as needed.
