One of our clients in Springfield, NJ is seeking a Thermal Sprayer Operator to join their production team. This role is perfect for someone who is technically minded and ready to master specialized industrial coating processes.

Job Details

• Pay Rate: $25 - $27/hr.
• Shift: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM.
• Overtime: Potential for 10-hour shifts as needed.
• Location: Springfield, NJ.

What You’ll Do

• Spray Booth Operation: Set up and operate spray equipment to apply coatings (such as Plasma or HVOF) according to customer specifications.
• Programming: Operate and make minor adjustments to computer-automated spray programs.
• Testing: Prepare and coat test coupons after training to ensure quality and traceability.
• Equipment Maintenance: Perform basic preventive maintenance on spray and material feed equipment.
• Quality Inspection: Use precision tools like micrometers and calipers to measure and verify parts.
• Documentation: Complete all required paperwork and record technical data accurately.

What You’ll Need

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Technical Skills: Ability to read and follow technical drawings and work instructions without deviation.
• Math & Measurement: Proficiency in basic math and the ability to take accurate measurements using various gauges.
• Physical Ability: Regularly required to handle and control equipment; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Safety First: Must be comfortable wearing eye and ear protection in a shop environment.
