- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related preferred.
- 6+ years in food manufacturing with experience in batch and continuous manufacturing, site engineering and equipment maintenance.
- 3+ years’ experience in a supervisory/management position.
- Demonstrated ability to perform troubleshooting, cause finding and taking corrective actions to address system shutdowns in a high-pressure environment.
- Solid understanding of mechanical, electrical, automation troubleshooting.

Responsibilities
- Ensures timely and efficient preventive maintenance and repair of production and process equipment. Manages downtime to a minimum, supporting efforts to continually improve activities to reduce costs.
- Manages assignments of day-to-day activities of direct reports.
- Manages stock of parts inventory.
- Manages the efficient procurement and availability of spares and consumables to deliver plant availability targets.
- Manages internal and external maintenance resources and manage external contractors effectively.
- Meets with outside service vendors to solicit bids for repairs and services that require specialized skills.
- Maintains accurate maintenance records on PM’s, inspections, and Work Orders with necessary compliance monitoring and sign off; to be audit ready at all times.
- Select, train, coach, and supervise department employees; evaluate performance to ensure adherence to performance standards, taking corrective action as required.
- Maintains a qualified team and ensures proper training of personnel assigned to deliver agreed plant availability.
- Maintains awareness of employee needs and concerns and take steps necessary to foster a positive and respectful work environment.
- Management retains the discretion to add or change the duties of the position at any time.
