As a key member of the maintenance team, you’ll balance scheduled preventative maintenance with high-pressure emergency repairs to ensure the facility operates at peak efficiency.
The Role
- Troubleshoot & Repair: Diagnose and fix mechanical breakdowns, replacing motors, control devices, and worn components.
- Preventative Maintenance: Execute PM schedules to maximize equipment lifespan and minimize downtime.
- Technical Execution: Use machine shop tools, hand tools, and power tools to perform complex machine rebuilds, including gearboxes and motors.
- Operational Support: Interpret schematics and mechanical drawings to navigate repairs across the entire manufacturing floor.
- Safety Leadership: Maintain a clean, organized workspace and strictly follow all safety protocols to protect the team.
- Experience: 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience or formal technical training in a manufacturing environment.
- Electrical Expertise: Solid understanding of three-phase electrical systems.
- Mechanical Skill: Proven ability to rebuild gearboxes; welding experience (Stick, Argon, MIG) is a significant plus.
- Drive: A dependable, trustworthy work ethic with a commitment to punctuality.
- Adaptability: Ability to work overtime as needed and navigate a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to stand for long durations (8–16 hours).
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs.
- Comfort climbing ladders (up to 20ft) and crawling under or onto machinery.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Valid US work authorization and reliable transportation.
- Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening.
- Forklift and scissor lift operation skills.
