Responsibilities
Quality & Food Safety
- Implement food safety and sanitation programs to mitigate risk.
- Lead QP reviews incorporating new technologies and emerging hazards.
- Manage complex food safety, quality, and regulatory issues.
- Conduct traceability and recall exercises.
- Ensure compliance with Quality Policy and drive continuous improvement.
- Apply QP across sites; identify gaps and implement corrective actions.
- Lead CIQ initiatives within the plant.
- Develop consumer-focused specifications.
- Apply process control methods to improve performance.
- Support implementation of corporate standards.
- Lead root cause analysis and CAPA tracking.
- Ensure compliance with global and local regulations (ingredients, labeling, claims, packaging).
- Interpret regulatory and religious requirements.
- Provide guidance on product claims.
- Conduct risk assessments and recommend compliance solutions.
- Develop regulatory strategies and specifications for new products/markets.
- Represent company in industry and government forums.
