Schedule: Monday – Thursday | 5:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Compensation: Up to $20/hr (Based on Experience) Core Responsibilities
As a vital member of our production team, you will be responsible for the following:
- Assembly & Fabrication: Utilize blueprints, technical drawings, and Standard Work Instructions (SWIs) to build complex parts and sub-assemblies. Ensure all components are positioned and connected for a perfect fit.
- Precision Tooling: Expertly operate a variety of hand and power tools, including pneumatic drills, rivet guns, staplers, and saws. Maintain high accuracy using tape measures and calipers.
- Quality Control: Perform continuous inspections and testing of products during and after the assembly process. Identify, troubleshoot, and repair any defects to maintain rigorous quality standards.
- Operational Support: Handle saw or mill operations as required. Assist with the final preparation and secure packaging of products for global shipment.
- Facility Stewardship: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area according to 5S standards. Perform routine daily maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Team Collaboration: Participate in cross-training across various departments to support production goals and adapt to changing operational needs.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
- Experience: Minimum of 6 months in a manufacturing environment; experience with small-part assembly is highly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Solid mechanical aptitude with the ability to read and interpret technical documentation.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, stoop, and walk for 10-hour shifts. Must be able to reach, grip, and lift up to 50 lbs. regularly.

Responsibilities

- Precision Tooling: Masterfully operate a variety of pneumatic and power tools, including drills, rivet guns, staplers, and saws. Accuracy in using measurement tools like tape measures and calipers is essential to prevent material waste.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct rigorous in-process inspections and final testing of sub-assemblies. You are responsible for identifying defects, performing necessary repairs, and reporting recurring errors to the supervisor to maintain our "zero-defect" goal.
- Production Support: Assist in secondary operations such as mill work, material preparation, and the final packaging of products to ensure they are secure for transit and meet shipping deadlines.
- Operational Excellence: Maintain a meticulously organized and safe workstation (5S standards). Perform routine daily maintenance on machinery to ensure equipment longevity and prevent downtime.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Actively participate in cross-training initiatives to gain proficiency in multiple departments, providing the team with the flexibility to meet fluctuating production demands.
- Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all PPE requirements, including the consistent use of safety glasses and hearing protection, while navigating a fast-paced, industrial warehouse environment.
