Pay Range: $36.00 – $40.00 / hour
Shift: 12-Hour Rotating Night Shift (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM) Are you a troubleshooting expert who thrives on keeping complex systems running at peak performance? We are looking for a skilled Controls Technician to join our client in Morrisville. You’ll be the go-to person for maintaining, diagnosing, and optimizing our automated manufacturing equipment.
- Diagnose issues with PLCs, HMI panels, and variable frequency drives (VFDs) to minimize downtime.
- Perform routine calibrations and preventative maintenance on automated circuitry and robotic systems.
- Identify opportunities to optimize machine logic and electrical layouts for better efficiency.
- Ensure all electrical and control systems meet rigorous safety standards and local codes.

Responsibilities
Execute scheduled and emergency maintenance on electrical equipment: switchgear, transformers, drives, PLCs, motors, control panels, lighting systems, instrumentation, and robotics.
Analyze wiring diagrams, blueprints, and schematics to diagnose and resolve electrical and control issues.
Install, splice, and terminate cables; set up conduits, junction boxes, raceways, and cable trays.
Perform preventive maintenance, lubrication, component testing, and electrical system inspections.
Work on high-voltage systems (substation switchgear, disconnects, grounding), overhead cranes, and power distribution equipment.
Fabricate minor electrical parts; solder, braid, or weld connectors and terminals as needed.
Operate and maintain testing equipment—megohmmeters, voltmeters, amp probes, oscilloscopes—for diagnostics.
Assist with mechanical tasks as needed, including crane/machinery operation, rigging, scaffolding, and supporting piping or structural work.
Maintain accurate maintenance logs, including parts usage, inspection results, downtime, and repair work.
Participate in hazardous materials handling protocols when applicable.
Comply with all safety procedures, wearing required PPE and working at heights or confined spaces when necessary.
