Role Summary:
Randstad USA is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician for a direct hire opportunity in Aurora, IL. This role supports a fast-paced packaging manufacturing environment by performing preventative maintenance, emergency repairs, and troubleshooting on production equipment and facility systems.
Ideal candidates will have strong PLC troubleshooting, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic maintenance experience in manufacturing environments.
️ Qualifications & Skills:
Minimum:
- PLC certification required
- 1+ year of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- strong troubleshooting skills in mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Familiarity with CMMS/work order systems
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, meters, and material handling equipment
- High school diploma or GED required
- Technical degree in Mechanics, Electrical, or related field
- Welding and machining experience
- Packaging or converting industry experience
- Fast-paced manufacturing environment
- Exposure to production machinery, moving equipment, and industrial noise
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
- Frequent standing, walking, bending, and troubleshooting on production lines
- PPE and sanitation procedures required at all times
- $30–$35/hr based on experience

Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled, preventative, and emergency maintenance on production equipment
- Troubleshoot and repair PLCs, AC/DC drives, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
- Read and interpret schematics, manuals, and technical drawings
- Complete preventative maintenance inspections and document work in CMMS systems
- Support utility systems including lubrication and resin delivery equipment
- Track equipment issues and communicate updates with maintenance and production teams
- Maintain inventory records and report parts usage as needed
- Follow OSHA, MSS, SOP, GMP, and facility safety standards
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Support additional maintenance projects and production needs as assigned
