The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining machinery and mechanical/electrical equipment to assure the uninterrupted flow of production in accordance with company procedure and specifications. Coordinates with production leadership to ensure a smooth flow of production.

Responsibilities
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Maintenance & Repair: Analyze and resolve mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical issues through adjustment, part replacement, or fabrication. Ensure equipment operates at peak performance via short-term repairs and long-term improvements.
- Operational Support: Expertly set up machinery and perform efficient changeovers to meet production standards. Maintain maintenance logs, checklists, and workshop tools.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety protocols, and all safety/ergonomic standards. Maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
- Problem Solving: Identify root causes of failures with minimal supervision to reduce downtime. Provide technical analysis and recommendations for mechanical failures.
- Continuous Improvement: Contribute to preventative maintenance schedules and generate ideas for productivity and equipment modifications. Fabricate minor replacement parts as needed.
- Training: Teach basic mechanical skills to line operators to support autonomous maintenance.
- Communication: Report technical and operational issues promptly to management and perform other duties as assigned.
