Responsibilities
- Material Classification: Sort and separate incoming scrap metals (including copper, aluminum, and brass) by type, grade, and quality to guarantee accurate and efficient processing.
- Equipment Operation: Safely operate specialized tools and machinery to cut, clean, and prepare raw scrap materials for downstream recycling processes.
- Customer Service & Support: Assist incoming customers with the professional and efficient offloading of materials, maintaining a positive and helpful demeanor.
- Yard Upkeep & Organization: Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free industrial yard by regularly sweeping, cleaning, and removing debris.
- Safety & Environmental Compliance: Strictly adhere to all health, safety, and environmental standards to ensure a secure working environment for staff and visitors.
- Quality Control: Utilize sharp visual acuity to quickly identify and differentiate between various metal types and alloys in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical Stamina & Agility: Comfortably perform demanding physical tasks, including bending, crouching, walking on uneven ground, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
- Weather Resilience: Adapt and work efficiently in a dynamic, outdoor industrial yard environment while exposed to changing weather conditions.
