In this role, you won't just count stock—you will dig into data, uncover root causes of variances, and partner with leadership to implement strategic solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Discrepancy Resolution: Research and resolve inventory discrepancies across warehouse operations and system transactions.
- Data & Reporting: Monitor accuracy using our Business Management System (BMS). Develop KPI tracking, trend analyses, and metrics to support decisions.
- Root-Cause Investigation: Investigate variances in receiving, putaway, picking, packing, and shipping to implement corrective actions.
- Auditing & Compliance: Support cycle counts, physical inventories, transactional audits, and reconciliation activities.
- Collaboration: Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Purchasing, Quality, and Customer Service to improve transaction accuracy and best practices.
- Continuous Improvement: Lead initiatives focused on operational efficiency, transaction integrity, and special projects.
- Experience: 2–5 years in Inventory Control, Warehouse Operations, Logistics, or Supply Chain (manufacturing/distribution preferred). Equivalent combination of education/experience considered.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in MS Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data analysis) and experience with WMS/ERP systems.
- Analysis: Proven ability to research inventory issues, perform root-cause analysis, and communicate findings effectively.
- Operations: Understanding of warehouse transaction flows. Ability to achieve forklift certification.
- High attention to detail; ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
- Excellent verbal/written communication and cross-functional teamwork.
- Self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset and accountability.
- Reliable attendance and availability for overtime as needed.

- Monitoring inventory accuracy through analysis of K&N’s Business Management System (BMS) and operational reporting data while identifying recurring inventory and transaction issues.
- Investigating root causes of inventory variances related to receiving, putaway, replenishment, production support, picking, packing, shipping, and inventory adjustments.
- Developing and maintaining inventory reports, KPI tracking, trend analysis, and operational metrics to support leadership decision-making.
- Performing transactional audits, supporting cycle count programs, physical inventories, reconciliation activities, and warehouse investigations as needed.
- Partnering with Operations leadership to implement corrective actions, process improvements, and inventory control best practices.
- Collaborating cross-functionally with Operations, Purchasing, Quality, Customer Service, and other departments to resolve inventory-related issues and improve transaction accuracy.
- Creating and maintaining inventory tracking tools, required reports, documentation, and audit records.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives focused on inventory accuracy, transaction integrity, and operational efficiency.
- Handling special projects and additional duties assigned by department leadership.
