Responsibilities
- CNC Setup & Operation: Set up and operate multi-axis CNC lathes and advanced machining centers to perform high-precision manufacturing operations.
- Blueprint Interpretation: Review and interpret complex engineering drawings, technical blueprints, and work orders to determine processing sequences.
- G-Code Editing: Read, interpret, and manually edit G-code programs directly at the machine controller.
- Tooling & Offsets: Select, install, and align cutting tools and fixtures. Load programs and make precise offset adjustments for optimal performance.
- Quality Inspection: Perform first-piece and in-process inspections using micrometers, dial calipers, and verniers to ensure parts meet strict QC standards before production release.
- Troubleshooting: Detect malfunctions, diagnose tool wear, troubleshoot dimensional deviations, and perform routine preventive machine maintenance.
- Team Collaboration: Partner with operators to provide setup training and support for smooth production transitions. Collaborate with plant leadership and QC to resolve issues.
- Documentation & Safety: Complete required production/inspection paperwork (setup sheets, tool lists) while maintaining a safe, organized work area.
