In this role, you will work closely with our production team and remote OEM support to minimize downtime and optimize Siemens and PLC-controlled systems. If you have diagnostic skills and experience with CNC machinery or automated lines, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Repair: Diagnose and repair complex electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and automation equipment failures.
- Automation Support: Troubleshoot PLC systems, drives, sensors, and actuators. Perform Siemens PLC diagnostics and minor program adjustments.
- Technical Interpretation: Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Maintenance & Equipment Care: Perform preventive and corrective maintenance. Replace and align cutting/polishing heads and execute mechanical upgrades.
- OEM Collaboration: Partner with Breton remote technical support teams and follow troubleshooting instructions.
- Safety & Documentation: Maintain accurate maintenance logs. Adhere to OSHA regulations, LOTO procedures, and safety protocols.
- Experience: 3 - 5 years of industrial maintenance experience in an automated manufacturing environment required.
- Education: High school diploma/GED required; Associate degree or technical certification in Mechatronics, Automation, or Electrical Technology preferred.
- Technical Skills: Electrical troubleshooting, proficiency with diagnostic tools, and familiarity with Siemens PLC systems/TIA Portal. Experience with Breton equipment is a plus.
- Safety Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a noisy industrial environment using proper PPE. Note: No facial hair is permitted due to respiratory PPE fit-testing requirements.
- Compliance: Electrical work must align with TDLR licensing requirements and Texas law. Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
