Job Summary: We are hiring a full-time Maintenance Mechanic for our industrial bakery facility in Carteret, NJ. This is a permanent, first-shift position from 3:00 PM to 11:00 PM with steady year-round work and a lot of overtime.  In this role, you will work on the floor to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain our plant production machinery. Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical (up to 480V), mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems on production equipment.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance checks and adjustments on plant machinery to optimize productivity.
• Read and interpret machine electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and equipment manuals to locate and fix problems.
• Dismantle, repair, and replace defective components such as bearings, filters, wiring, valves, gauges, and control instruments.
• Navigate and utilize the plant CMMS system to log, track, and complete assigned work orders.
• Document process sheets, complete equipment safety checks, and communicate shift updates to maintain consistency across teams.
• Maintain a clean, organized workshop and ensure all maintenance activities follow GMP, OSHA regulations, and food safety standards.
• Respond to on-call requests and work additional hours as needed to troubleshoot down machinery and support plant operations.
