Responsibilities
Senior CNC Programmer / Machinist
Position Overview
We are seeking a Senior CNC Programmer / Machinist to lead day-to-day manufacturing operations, bridging engineering and production. You will oversee programming, fixture/tooling development, and guide machinists across prototype and production workflows for medical equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Programming & Optimization: Program CNC lathes, mills (3, 4, and 5-axis), and Swiss/screw machines using SolidCAM and SolidWorks. Optimize G-code, feeds, speeds, and custom fixture designs.
Shop Leadership: Assist the manager with daily floor activities, scheduling, and material needs. Mentor machinists, troubleshoot setups, and serve as backup machinist when needed.
Quality & Safety: Ensure adherence to quality standards using precision measuring tools. Enforce safety, 5S, and preventive maintenance.
Qualifications
5+ years of CNC programming (SolidCAM/SolidWorks) and machining experience.
Proven expertise with 5-axis (HAAS UMC preferred) and Swiss/screw machines.
knowledge of G-code, tool paths, and fixture design.
Shop leadership or supervisory experience.
Robot programming experience is highly desired.
