Are you meticulous, organized, and ready to play a critical role in the global aerospace supply chain? We are seeking a high-energy, detail-oriented Aerospace Worldwide Shipping Clerk to join our team based out of our Bethpage, NY facility.
In this role, you won't just be moving boxes—you will be managing the secure, compliant, and timely international transport of high-value aviation components, AOG (Aircraft on Ground) parts, and precision instruments. - Global Logistics Execution: Prepare, pack, and label international and domestic shipments of aerospace parts in strict compliance with ATA 300 (Specification for Packaging of Aircraft Supplies) and carrier requirements.
- Compliance & Documentation: Generate and verify complex export/import documentation, including Commercial Invoices, Certificates of Conformance (CoC), Shippers Letter of Instruction (SLI), and Hazardous Materials (HAZMAT) declarations.
- AOG Support: Prioritize and expedite critical "Aircraft on Ground" shipments with extreme urgency and accuracy to minimize aircraft downtime.
- Carrier Coordination: Network with global freight forwarders (DHL, FedEx, UPS, Expeditors, etc.) to schedule pickups, track critical shipments, and resolve international customs delays.
- Quality Control & Inspection: Inspect incoming and outgoing components for damage, serial number accuracy, and proper documentation to ensure zero-defect shipping.
- Experience: 2–4 years of experience in shipping/logistics, with a preference for aerospace, aviation, or defense industry backgrounds.
- Compliance Knowledge: Familiarity with ITAR (International Traffic in Arms Regulations), EAR (Export Administration Regulations), and IATA/DOT HAZMAT regulations is highly desirable.
- Technical Savvy: Proficiency with ERP/WMS systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Quantum Control) and carrier software.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, stand for extended periods, and operate warehouse equipment (forklift certification a plus).
- Attributes: Exceptional eye for detail, problem-solving skills under tight deadlines, and excellent communication skills.
- Hourly Wage: $24.00/hour
