Position Overview AMSEE Ltd. is seeking a skilled and reliable Experienced Press Operator to join our manufacturing team on the 1st shift. This role is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining fineblanking and conventional stamping presses to produce high-quality metal components and assemblies.
Because this role requires prior experience, the ideal candidate will hit the ground running with mechanical aptitude, knowledge of blueprint reading, and precision measurement tools. Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience Required: Must have proven experience operating conventional metal stamping or fineblanking presses in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read and interpret industrial blueprints, job sheets, and technical specifications.
- Measurement Proficiency: Skilled in using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, templates).
- Physical Demands: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly, stand for long periods, and perform repetitive movements in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Machine Operation: Set up, align, and operate heavy-duty conventional stamping and fineblanking presses according to job specifications.
- Tooling & Setup: Install, align, and lock specify dies, punches, and fixtures securely onto machine beds using hand tools and gauges.
- Quality Control: Inspect completed metal workpieces for defects (e.g., burrs, chips, or marred surfaces). Use calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify parts conform strictly to specifications.
- Process Monitoring: Monitor press operations continuously, troubleshoot minor mechanical variances, and adjust machine speeds or feeds as necessary.
- Material Handling: Position, align, and secure raw material rolls or blanks onto the machine manually or using hoists/cranes.
- Safety & Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance on equipment and adhere strictly to plant safety guidelines, including lockout/tagout procedures.
