Responsibilities
Picking Responsibilities
- Order Accuracy: Ensuring the exact SKU, quantity, color, and size match the digital pick ticket or RF scanner prompt. Missing a sub-digit on a barcode can result in a costly mis-shipment.
- Route Efficiency: Following the Warehouse Management System's (WMS) designated path to maximize speed and minimize floor congestion.
- Inventory Reporting: Immediately flagging discrepancies (e.g., if the scanner says there are 10 items in a bin, but the bin is physically empty) by logging a "cycle count" or reporting it to a supervisor.
