This is an entry-to-mid-level position designed for someone with foundational mechanical knowledge who wants to learn from senior technicians, work with advanced machinery, and ensure our facility runs safely and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance: Assist senior staff with routine machinery inspections, building maintenance, and the installation of new equipment.
- Preventive Care: Perform scheduled PM tasks, including lubrication, filter changes, and component replacements.
- Troubleshooting: Learn to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues. Inspect and measure parts to detect wear or misalignment.
- Hands-on Repairs: Dismantle defective equipment using hand and pneumatic tools. Operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, torches, and welding equipment to repair or fabricate parts.
- Schematics & Controls: Read blueprints, ladder logic, and electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics to isolate machine faults. Safely operate equipment control systems.
- Inventory & Records: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, work orders, and manuals. Track spare parts inventory and coordinate with vendors for replacements.
- Safety First: Adhere strictly to safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent work experience.
- Basic understanding of mechanical systems and comfort working with tools.

- Technical Repairs: Manually dismantle defective machines using hand and pneumatic tools; install/repair electrical and electronic components; operate lathes, drill presses, grinders, torches, and welding equipment to fabricate or repair parts.
- Schematics & Controls: Read blueprints, ladder logic, and electrical/hydraulic/pneumatic schematics; operate equipment control systems to start, move, test, and safely shut down machinery.
- Documentation & Inventory: Maintain accurate logs of maintenance activities, work orders, and manuals; manage spare parts inventory, requisition parts, and consult with outside vendors.
- Compliance & Safety: Strictly adhere to safety protocols to ensure a safe work environment.
- Other Duties: Fulfill additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.
