Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Diagnose, isolate, and repair electrical faults by replacing or repairing components such as motors, relays, switches, diodes, sensors, circuit boards, and wiring
- Perform emergency repairs to minimize production downtime
- Install and maintain electrical systems that provide power and control to weaving machines and associated peripherals
- Lay out, assemble, and wire control panels and power distribution systems according to specifications and schematic drawings
- Work from written instructions, verbal direction, and technical drawings while ensuring compliance with OSHA, NEC, and all applicable safety standards
- Perform routine calibration and preventative maintenance on weaving machine modules
- Maintain accurate maintenance records, documentation, and service reports
- Prepare material requisitions and manage parts required for repairs and maintenance
Job Requirements
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Background in Electrical or Electronic Engineering Technology, or equivalent military technical training
- Proficiency in high-reliability soldering techniques
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and engineering drawings
- Proficient in using test equipment such as digital multimeters (DMM), meggers, and oscilloscopes
- Skilled in the use of standard electrical and electronic tools
- Hands-on experience with:
- Transformers
- Circuit breakers, contactors, and relays
- AC and DC motors and drives
