What You’ll Do
- Advanced Diagnostics & Repairs: Perform complex mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on high-speed filling and packaging equipment for glass, PET, and aluminum bottled products. Fabricate custom parts on the fly to minimize downtime.
- Automation & Robotics Leadership: Plan, configure, and install advanced PLCs, servomotors, robotic assemblies, and HMIs. Design equipment recipes and calibrate precision instruments.
- Proactive Maintenance: Execute comprehensive PM schedules—including lubrication, filter changes, and advanced vibration/temperature monitoring—to keep production running smoothly.
- Team Mentorship: Lead on-the-job training for junior technicians, elevating their skills in sensor calibration, robotics, and line control programming.
- Data-Driven Execution: Log work orders and inventory tracking in our maintenance management system, and analyze mechanical trends to build insightful reports.
- Safety & Quality Champion: Maintain a pristine, compliant work environment by strictly adhering to LOTO, PPE, GMP, SQF, and HACCP standards to ensure top-tier food safety and quality.
- Deep expertise in troubleshooting complex packaging, bottling, and facility machinery.
- strong technical proficiency in PLC programming, robotics, and automated control configurations.
- A proactive, safety-first mindset with dedicated experience in food/beverage manufacturing compliance (GMP, HACCP, SQF).
- Excellent organizational skills and a desire to train and develop others.

Responsibilities
- Troubleshooting & Repairs: Perform complex mechanical and electrical diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs on filling and packaging equipment for glass, PET, and aluminum bottled beverages. Fabricate parts for immediate repairs when needed.
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute PM tasks including lubrication, filter changes, replacing worn components, and monitoring machinery for wear, vibration, and temperature changes.
- Automation & Programming: Plan and execute installations of PLCs, servomotors, robotic assemblies, and HMIs. Design equipment recipes and calibrate control systems.
- Production Support: Support line changeovers and address complex equipment and facility failures to ensure operational reliability.
- Data & Reporting: Document completed work orders and parts used in the maintenance management system. Analyze trends to prepare mechanical maintenance reports.
- Training: Provide on-the-job training to technicians regarding moderate troubleshooting, sensor calibration, robotics adjustments, and line control programming.
- Safety & Compliance: Enforce state and federal safety regulations (LOTO, PPE, machine guarding). Maintain a clean environment adhering to GMP, SQF, and HACCP standards to guarantee food safety and quality.
- Documentation & Development: Maintain accurate, organized documentation and participate in ongoing safety and equipment training. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
