Responsibilities
- Stick Welding Excellence: Proficiently perform stick welding across all positions. Must be skilled in utilizing 6011 electrodes (primarily for fitting and tacking in any position) and 7024 electrodes (specifically for flat/horizontal tank seam welding).
- MIG Welding Proficiency: Competent in executing both SMAW (Shielded Metal Arc Welding) and GMAW (Gas Metal Arc Welding/MIG) processes using .045 and .051 metal core and flux-cored inner shield wire alongside various shielding gases.
- Thermal Cutting: Safely and accurately operate plasma cutters as well as oxy-propane cutting torches.
- Technical Layout & Measurement: Demonstrate the ability to interpret blueprints, read tape measures accurately, and measure angles using protractors.
- Autonomy & Drive: Capable of following direction closely while remaining self-motivated enough to complete tasks efficiently with minimal oversight.
