Position Summary We are seeking a meticulous and highly skilled Microelectronic Assembler to join our advanced aerospace manufacturing division. In this role, you will build complex, high-reliability microelectronic sub-assemblies (hybrids and multi-chip modules) destined for flight, satellite, and defense applications. Operating under high-magnification microscopes inside a controlled cleanroom environment, you will be responsible for handling fragile unencapsulated semiconductor elements and performing micro-interconnections where failure is not an option.

Responsibilities

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Die Placement & Attach: Perform ultra-precise manual and semi-automated positioning and placement of bare-die/semiconductor chips, MMICs, diodes, and capacitors onto ceramic substrates or hybrid packages.
  
  
• Adhesive & Eutectic Material Handling: Dispense conductive/non-conductive epoxies or utilize preforms and eutectic bonding equipment. Ensure strict control over Bond Line Thickness (BLT), uniform fillet borders, and zero-voiding metrics.
  
  
• Wire Bonding (Manual & Semi-Automatic): Set up, program, and operate manual and semi-automatic wire bonding equipment (thermosonic wedge or ball bonders) using fine gold and aluminum wires ranging from 0.7 to 2.0+ mils.
  
  
• Bare-Die Handling: Safely manipulate unencapsulated semiconductor components using vacuum pickup tools, customized collets, and micro-tweezers without introducing mechanical fractures or ESD damage.
  
  
• In-Process Microscopic Inspection: Evaluate wire loops, placement accuracy, and epoxy squeeze-out against strict military/aerospace standards (e.g., MIL-STD-883 criteria) under high-power stereomicroscopes.
  
  
• Blueprints & Schematics: Read and interpret complex engineering drawings, material process sheets, wire-run lists, and detailed assembly routers.
