Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Assembly: Assemble electronic components, printed circuit boards (PCBs), modules, and wiring harnesses using specialized hand tools, soldering irons, and automated equipment.
- Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, engineering drawings, and Bill of Materials (BOM) to ensure accurate assembly.
- Quality Control: Inspect components and finished products for defects, alignment issues, or soldering errors. Conduct basic continuity and functional testing.
- Rework & Repair: Identify assembly errors or faulty components and perform necessary re-work or repairs (e.g., desoldering and replacing parts).
- Maintenance & Safety: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation compliant with ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) safety protocols and OSHA standards.
- Experience: Proven experience as an Electronic Assembler, Production Assembler, or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in soldering techniques (through-hole and surface-mount technology/SMT preferred). Ability to use hand tools, micrometers, and multi-meters.
- Certifications: IPC-A-610 or J-STD-001 certifications are a major plus.
- Skills: High manual dexterity, excellent eyesight (with or without correction) for handling small components, and basic computer literacy for logging production data.
