  Working closely under the direction of the Printing Manager, you will assist the Pressman to keep our high-speed printing operations running smoothly, efficiently, and safely:
  
  
• Keep Things Moving: Load skids of paperboard to maintain a continuous, seamless press run.
  
  
• Troubleshoot & Set Up: Monitor and adjust feeders to ensure smooth board loading, reading job specifications to prepare the right materials.
  
  
• Mechanical Assistance: Adjust mechanical press parts (suction grippers, feed wheels, guides) and assist with press maintenance and roller adjustments using hand tools.

Responsibilities

JOB SUMMARY: This position will be responsible for assisting the Pressman on processes regarding make-ready,
operations and maintenance of the printing press, in doing so efficiently, safely and accurately.


JOB FUNCTIONS: Job functions include, but are not limited to the following:
 Loading skids of board to maintain continuous run of the press
 Troubleshoot feeders to ensure board is properly loaded

 Ability to read and follow job specifications to determine press set-up materials needed to run the job
successfully
 Adjusts press machine parts, such as feeder and delivery mechanisms, suction grippers, guides, feed wheels,
jogging devices, tapes, and cams, using hand tools.
 Assist in removing and replacing worn rollers and adjusting pressure between rollers of press, using hand tools.
 Wash blankets and cleans ink and ink distributing rollers and ink fountains, using ink solvent and cleaning
mechanism on press.
 Assists the pressman in any maintenance of the press.
 Performs other duties as required to achieve the overall goals and objectives of the Company.
