Responsibilities
- Execute routine operation, preventative maintenance (PM), and predictive maintenance on industrial ammonia refrigeration equipment (including screw and reciprocating compressors, evaporators, condensers, and pumps).
- Work strictly within the guidelines of the facility's Process Safety Management (PSM) and Risk Management Programs (RMP). Monitor and test ammonia and fire suppression alarms in compliance with local and federal regulations.
- Perform sensory inspections (visual, auditory, and olfactory) for system leaks or malfunctions. Accurately document critical pressure, temperature, and fluid levels in daily logs.
- Diagnose mechanical, plumbing, and electrical faults on PLC/PC-based master refrigeration control systems. Complete corrective work orders (CWOs) cleanly and promptly.
- Assist production mechanics on utility-related maintenance across aseptic, retort, or packaging lines. Provide emergency response support for any hazardous chemical or ammonia leak situations
