Key Responsibilities
- Machine Operation & Setup: Set up, adjust, and operate Star and/or Citizen Swiss CNC lathes for optimal utilization and efficiency.
- Precision Fabrication: Fabricate new and recurring parts down to tight tolerances per customer blueprint and drawing specifications.
- Quality & Compliance: Perform meticulous inspections and documentation in accordance with strict medical device (Class 1, 2, 3) and ISO 9001 standards.
- Documentation: Create accurate tool sheets for new and revised jobs; complete daily communication logs to ensure smooth shift transitions.
- Preventative Maintenance: Maintain machinery and work centers through approved preventative and predictive maintenance programs.
- Safety & Communication: Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Job Safety practices. Immediately communicate any discrepant cycle times or programming issues to the Team Leader.

The position runs Monday–Friday, 6:00 AM–2:30 PM, with up to 10 hours of overtime available per week. The lathe machinist will be responsible for fabricating new and recurring parts per customer specifications. Inspection and documentation required per company standards. Perform set-ups for optimal machine utilization to complete the necessary operation (s) per drawing specifications. Maintain machinery and work centers through approved preventative maintenance programs.
Performing the following duties:
- Operating and adjusting the Star and/Or Citizen machinery.
- Calibrating and maintaining tight tolerances.
- Fabricate parts per customer specifications.
- Maintain machine operations.
- Operate machines for optimal machine utilization to complete the necessary operation(s).
- Create tool sheets for new jobs and revised jobs
- Work on Medical Class 1, 2, 3 or critical ISO 9001 controlled product.
- Maintain safety in programming.
- Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery and work center.
- Maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Job Safety procedures.
- Complete Daily Communications Log.
- Maintain and secure work tools.
- Communicate all discrepant cycle times and machine/program issues immediately to the Team Leader.
