Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
Electrical Expertise (Primary Focus)
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair complex electrical control circuits, PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers), VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), AC/DC motors, servos, and transformers.
- Read, interpret, and update electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
- Utilize electrical test equipment (multimeters, amp probes, megohmmeters) to safely isolate faults.
- Perform electrical installations, conduit bending, and wire pulling in compliance with the National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, and high-speed packaging or processing machinery.
- Diagnose mechanical failures and perform precision alignments, component replacements, and mechanical rebuilds.
- Execute basic fabrication, welding (TIG/MIG), or machining tasks as required for equipment repairs.
- Respond rapidly to emergency equipment breakdowns during the shift to minimize production downtime.
- Document all maintenance activities, parts used, and machine downtime within the CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System).
- Strictly adhere to all safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), arc flash protection, OSHA regulations, and company safety policies.
