What You’ll Do
- Lead with Impact: Supervise, mentor, and cross-train a shift of operators, technicians, and material handlers to foster a high-performing team culture.
- Drive Efficiency: Monitor daily manufacturing operations to maximize OEE, maintain optimized cycle times, and minimize scrap/waste.
- Enforce Safety First: Maintain total compliance with safety regulations, conduct incident investigations, enforce proper PPE usage, and execute strict Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) protocols.
- Ensure Automotive Quality: Adhere to strict IATF 16949 / ISO 9001 standards and lead first-line root cause analysis (5-Why, 8D) to resolve floor quality issues.
- Champion 5S & Lean: Lead daily Gemba walks, participate in Kaizen events, and maintain a spotless, hazard-free shop floor.
- Coordinate Changes: Partner with Maintenance and Tooling teams to schedule planned maintenance and ensure efficient tooling/line changeovers.
- Experience: 3+ years of supervisory or leadership experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment (Automotive industry strongly preferred).
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in a technical or business field is a plus.
- Technical Savvy: strong understanding of Lean Manufacturing, PLC/automation environments, and automotive quality management systems.
- Problem Solver: Excellent mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot floor issues rapidly under pressure.
- Communication: strong interpersonal skills to deliver clear shift handoffs and collaborate across engineering and maintenance teams.
- Systems: Proficiency with ERP/MES systems (e.g., SAP, Plex) and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities
- Throughput Optimization: Oversee daily manufacturing operations to meet or exceed hourly and daily production targets (OEE, cycle times, and scrap reduction reduction).
- Changeover Coordination: Manage tooling and line changeovers efficiently to minimize unplanned machine downtime.
- Asset Care: Partner closely with Maintenance and Tooling departments to coordinate Planned Maintenance (PM) schedules and resolve immediate mechanical or electrical breakdowns.
