What You Will Do Everyday As our go-to technician, you will take ownership of plant reliability by installing, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of complex industrial systems.
- Multidisciplinary Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, piping, refrigeration, and chemical systems across all production equipment.
- Electrical Diagnostics: Safely install, test, and troubleshoot facility building electrical systems and complex electronic production equipment.
- Welding & Custom Fabrication: Read blueprints and technical schematics to fabricate and modify tanks, fixtures, conveyors, and custom industrial furnaces.
- Precision Piping & Rigging: Lay out and install complex piping systems using pipe-threading machines, silver solder, and hand tools. Safely move and position heavy machinery utilizing forklifts, hoists, and lifting platforms.
- Compliance & Calibration: Perform critical Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS), System Accuracy Tests (SAT), and equipment calibrations to maintain strict industry standards.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Execute and document routine PM inspections on meters, gauges, recorders, charts, filters, belts, grease fittings, and furnace internals.
- Facility Upkeep: Maintain high-temperature furnace integrity by repairing and replacing fire brick as needed.
- Experience: 2–3 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience. Experience working within heat-treating or heavy manufacturing environments is highly preferred.
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent (GED).
- Technical Skills: Solid proficiency in reading blueprints, engineering diagrams, and equipment operation manuals.
- Physical Capabilities: Comfort operating heavy equipment (forklifts, hoists) and the physical stamina required for a dynamic, heavy industrial manufacturing setting.

Responsibilities

- Fabrication & Welding: Use blueprints and schematics to fabricate tanks, fixtures, conveyors, and furnaces using standard welding gear.
- Piping & Rigging: Lay out and install piping systems (using pipe-threading, silver solder, etc.) and safely move heavy equipment using forklifts, hoists, and lifting platforms.
- Precision Testing & PMs: Perform preventative maintenance inspections (filters, belts, lubrication, etc.) and ensure critical compliance by conducting Temperature Uniformity Surveys (TUS) and System Accuracy Tests (SAT).
- Facility Integrity: Maintain furnace health by repairing/replacing fire brick and managing fabrication materials safely.
