What You’ll Do
- Set Up & Operation: Set up, operate, and maintain wide-web flexo presses to produce quality flexible packaging on time.
- Quality & Precision: Monitor print quality, color, and registration using tape measures, micrometers, and roll-to-roll checks against specs.
- Efficiency & Make-Ready: Follow Set-Up procedures for timely starts, perform changeovers, troubleshoot issues, and minimize scrap.
- Teamwork: Work with teammates, guide Press Operator 1 assistants, and coordinate to keep downtime low.
- Safety & Compliance: Follow safety protocols, GMPs, food safety standards, and proper hazardous waste handling.
- Experience: Flexographic press experience (wide-web preferred) and mechanical aptitude.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read job tickets, perform shop math, use precision tools, and pass color vision tests.
- Physical Capability: Ability to lift up to 75 lbs, stand for 12 hours, and handle active pressroom physical demands.
- Mindset: Team-first attitude, attention to detail, good work ethic, and commitment to safety.
- Great Pay: $25–$34/hr base + $2.00/hr night differential.

Responsibilities
- Drive Press Excellence: Set up, start up, and operate Wide-Web Flexographic presses with a focus on maximizing run times and minimizing scrap.
- Lead & Mentor: Guide, train, and assist your Press Operator 1 (Assistant) to ensure the team is aligned, breaks are coordinated, and the press keeps rolling.
- Quality Champion: Review work instructions, verify materials, and perform strict roll-to-roll quality checks to match the approved sample perfectly.
- Maintain & Troubleshoot: Perform routine preventative maintenance, troubleshoot mechanical issues, and collaborate with the Maintenance team for quick repairs.
- Safety & Environment: Keep a spotless workspace and ensure the safe handling/documentation of inks, solvents, and hazardous waste according to company guidelines.
