Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Electrical Testing: Perform functional and parametric testing on electrical assemblies, control panels, and PCBs using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and power supplies.
- Diagnostics: Troubleshoot and debug hardware failures down to the component or wiring level; execute soldering and rework repairs as needed.
- Equipment Setup: Configure automated test equipment (ATE), connect wiring harnesses, and set up test software per engineering protocols.
- Reporting: Document test results, measurements, and error codes; create non-conformance reports (NCRs) for defective units.
- Calibration: Routinely inspect and verify laboratory test equipment for calibration compliance.
- Safety: Strictly adhere to ESD prevention protocols, high-voltage safety practices, and IPC standards (e.g., IPC-A-610).
- Education: AS degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electronics, or equivalent military/vocational training.
- Experience: 2–4 years of electrical testing and troubleshooting in a manufacturing or lab environment.
- Technical Skills: Ability to read electrical schematics and wiring diagrams, proficiency in hand soldering (THD/SMT), and skill with standard test gear.
- Software: Familiarity with test automation software (e.g., LabVIEW, Python) is a plus.
- Physical Demands: Fine motor skills, ability to distinguish color-coded wiring, and comfort working around low- to medium-voltage equipment.
