Responsibilities
- Perform in-process inspections of manufactured components or assemblies at different stages of production to ensure compliance with specifications, drawings, and quality standards.
- Use precision measuring instruments, such as calipers, micrometers, gauges, and optical comparators, to measure and verify part dimensions, tolerances, and finishes.
- Conduct visual inspections to identify any visual defects, such as surface imperfections, scratches, dents, or abnormalities in appearance.
- Interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to understand product requirements and inspection criteria.
- Document inspection results, including measurements, observations, and any non-conformities found, accurately and in a timely manner.
- Communicate any deviations or non-conformities to appropriate personnel, such as supervisors, quality control engineers, or production teams, and collaborate on corrective actions.
- Ensure compliance with quality control procedures, including adherence to established inspection plans, standards, and work instructions.
- Maintain a clean and organized inspection area and handle measuring instruments and equipment with care to ensure their accuracy and longevity.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
