Responsibilities
- Perform routine quality-control testing on raw materials, in-process products, and finished fruit and dairy products.
- Collect and properly identify product and environmental samples.
- Perform laboratory and production-floor testing according to established procedures.
- Monitor product characteristics such as pH, Brix, viscosity, temperature, color, and appearance as applicable.
- Verify production processes are operating within established quality and food-safety specifications.
- Monitor aseptic processing and packaging operations.
- Perform environmental and sanitation verification testing.
- Review production records, quality documentation, and test results for accuracy and completeness.
- Identify quality issues, deviations, or out-of-specification results and promptly communicate findings to the appropriate personnel.
- Assist with investigations, corrective actions, and follow-up testing.
- Verify proper labeling, coding, packaging, and product identification.
- Support sanitation and pre-operational inspections.
- Maintain accurate laboratory and quality records.
- Follow all company GMP, HACCP, food-safety, safety, and sanitation requirements.
- Assist with audits and regulatory inspections as needed.
- Work closely with Production to resolve quality concerns while maintaining product safety and quality standards.
