Responsibilities
- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, systems, and production machines
- Follow diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions and engineering specifications, troubleshooting malfunctions
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, use precision measuring and testing instruments
- Design and fabricate supporting structures to include but not limited to frames, tables, workstation aids, etc.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inpsecting used parts, using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments
- Maintain equipment, parts, and supplies inventories
