Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Maintenance & Repair: Perform installation, troubleshooting, and repairs on electrical, pneumatic, electronic, and mechanical systems of process and packaging machinery.
- Operational Performance: Own key production metrics, including Downtime, Changeover Time, Preventive Maintenance (PM) completion, and overall Productivity.
- Preventive Maintenance: Complete scheduled PMs accurately and within allotted timeframes to maintain peak equipment efficiency.
- Cross-Functional Support: Partner with fellow mechanics to set up, fine-tune, and resolve issues on complex machinery.
- Parts & Inventory: Select and log required repair parts from the storeroom. Maintain the parts logbook and document issues using "One Point Lesson" troubleshooting forms.
- Safety & Compliance: Strictly adhere to cGMP, SOPs, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), and company Safety, Health, and Environmental policies. Maintain a 100% functional, safe, clean, and organized work area.
- Continuous Improvement: Recommend maintenance enhancements to reduce costs, eliminate safety hazards, and rapidly restart machinery during critical business needs. Immediately escalate unsafe conditions to leadership.
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience as a maintenance or packaging mechanic in a manufacturing or production environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in mechanical, electrical, electronic, and pneumatic troubleshooting and repair.
- Compliance Knowledge: Proven track record working under cGMP standards, company SOPs, and strict LOTO protocols.
- Schedule Flexibility: Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule and consistently work ~20 hours of overtime per week.
- Soft Skills: Communication skills, proactive problem-solving ability, and a team-first mindset.
